Brought up playing different sorts of instruments, Mikkel did not find his true passion until 1994 when he was introduced to the world of electronic music. He began making a bizarre style of semi-psychedelic electronic dance music, which lasted a few years until he was introduced to the Trance scene and immediately fell in love with the rich world of sounds and melodies and emotion. His taste changed as the scene in Copenhagen changed to Minimal Psytrance, and from there he started the N.A.S.A. project. In the beginning it was a solo project only because his main project, The Gnome Effect, included another person and they couldn't always be in the studio whenever they had an idea.
When The Gnome Effect ended, Mikkel kept on with his N.A.S.A. project and developed it into a unique mix of styles with a trademark Infusing psychedelic atmospheres with uplifting trance melodies and soundscapes and keeping a rough progressive groove.
