Plasmotek is Thibaut Lapeyre from Toulouse, France. He has been learning piano for 14 years at the conservatory of music. While he was studying jazz & classical music he fell in love with sound synthesis and decided to buy his first Korg synthesizer. Coming from a metal and industrial music background, Thibaut discovered psytrance during a trip to Thailand in 1999. He began DJing and composing under the name of Plasmotek and joined Mandala Records in 2005. Today, besides his psytrance project, Thibaut is also active in several musical projects such as Nano Hana (drum & bass), Dystres (minimal techno) and the first Plasmotek's album "Lifted" is out now.
