Johan Schreuder aka CONSCIOUS CHAOS – a very talented person with even more talented music.
He began accumulating his enthusiasm for music way back in 1992 when he started doing DJ sets at house parties for his mates. Actually, music had been a key factor in Johan’s life since his conception, born into a world of The Beatles, Deep Purple, Uriah Heep and many others.
After he finished school in 1996, he made a move to Israel where he started mixing it up a few times at the BOOGIE ROOM on the KFAR BLOOM KIBBUTZ in upper GALILEA. By the end of 1997 he moved to London where he was introduced to turntables by the legendary Tall Paul at the TURNMILLS nightclub, also known as TRADE and THE GALLERY (London). He was then still using a pair of SL1210’s and continuously put them to the test.
Way back, he was still known as DJ FRISKY, known for playing some of the hardest, bone-crunching, hard house ever heard! Shortly after, along with a lot of performances, he was voted No.2 DJ in South Africa with the 2001 Spiced Gold - DJ of the Year Competition. He collaborated as co-owner of Future Fix Records, which played a huge roll in launch of one of the most successful night clubs in South Africa, THE GALLERY, which hosted every known hard house artist from around the globe during past years. Shortly after, he unleashed an even harder persona, named, PSYBERZULU, specializing in the type of full-on music that only he can perfect.
He also produces other genres such as ROCK and METAL and tries to incorporate the styles with one another to create the ultimate experience. A good 15 years of considerable knowledge in the music industry has brought Johan a very long way to date. He has played next to some of the biggest names in the industry such as Shift, Frozen Ghost, Tron, Broken Toy, Paul van Dyk, Pete Tong, Ed Real, Ben Keen, Mauro Picotto, OD404 and many more! Planet 24 Studios in London has also worked with him, getting him busy with celebrities like Denise Van Outen, Jay Kay, Jenny McCarthy, Run DMC, Madonna, Britney Spears, Five, Ant & Dec, Lee Evans and many more.
He has also made a huge following at one of South Africa’s longest running and most successful trance organizations, Vortex. He has become a regular performer at Vortex events, giving the crowd a taste of his explicit beats. Also, due to he’s great ability to get the crowd rocking, he always manages to land prime time slots everywhere he plays.
Johan is now the owner of CALAHARI COSMOS STUDIOS and co-owner of an in-house, newly established record label, called, RED REVENGE RECORDS, on which he will be releasing he’s debut album as the artist CONSCIOUS CHAOS.
The album is called DIVINE JUSTICE – to be released the 1st July 2010. It encompasses all the years of hard work, dedication and love for music that Johan has gained during his life.
